Dr Adam Butler will present Apus, a new rapid-modelling tool for Geological Carbon Storage, and its application to the Elephant, a planned open saline aquifer in the Norwegian North Sea, at the EAGE Annual conference on Wednesday 4th June, 11:00 AM, CCS Screening & Site Characterisation 4, Room 10 | Toulouse, France | Time Zone: (CEST, UTC+2) https://eageannual.org/

OpenGoSim, in collaboration with the University of Cambridge, has developed Apus, a new reduced-physics modelling approach to rapidly simulate the behaviour of CO2 stored in saline aquifers. This model is particularly well suited for open saline aquifers, and this presentation will demonstrate its use with the Elephant as a case study, comparing against traditional simulation approaches.
