Apus

Apus is a reduced-physics model, capturing key physical mechanisms governing the CO2 during horizontal migration under the caprock.

It is a two-dimensional vertical-equilibrium simulator, suitable for fast CO2 plume predictions when the vertical migration phase to the caprock can be neglected. Running in minutes - rather than hours as required by full-physics reservoir simulators - Apus is a desktop application well suited to screening studies, to understand from limited data which parts of the reservoir CO2 might reach. The software also models CO2 dissolution and residual trapping.
